Description
This 7″ wide by 5.25″ high blade has a straight bottom edge for level cutting/scraping and easy sharpening. Somewhat shorter head than the 70F. A great lightweight design for packing into the backcountry for lighter work on firelines and trails.

I own this with a 60″ ash handle. Last spring and this spring I had a lot of projects. I made a front walkway with fieldstone, made a 1.5 foot deep huglekulture bed in compacted fill last year and extended it this year. Made a walkway with fieldstone beside it. Now, I am a 5’4″ 65 year old woman strong and hardworking. This hoe can’t be beat. I hate power tools. I just had to dig out my new garden by hand. This tool chopped through the compacted fill like nothing. It used to be a driveway and I’m turning it into a greenway. The weight of the head helps on the downswing. The sharp edges slice through. I would rather use this than a shovel on compacted earth or fill. It was great for making a drainage ditch as well as digging out under my deck. It’s the sturdiest tool I own apart from my pry bar. It stands in the shed and sneers at my old flimsy hoe. I can see using it for a frog pool out back.
When I can’t use it anymore, I will donate it to a local nature preserve for their trail work.
